Local Missions

We want to make a difference in our community and in the neighborhoods of Colorado Springs.  We are addicted to changed lives. We love grace, truth and people. We inspire people to live differently and we join the generations to finish strong. We are putting a smile back on the face of our town through meeting the needs of our neighborhoods.

We have an incredible operational “Green Team” that consists of dedicated volunteers who oversee the system on a daily basis! Each team member, trained by one of our point leaders, helps us maintain a vibrant, healthy & growing environment for our plants by volunteering at least 2 – 4 times per month. They also participate in our Saturday morning harvests and our first of the month Garden Market. This Garden Market helps offset the cost of our operation by providing fresh herbs and lettuce to our community for a small donation.

We innovatively fight hunger, poverty, and joblessness through sustainable agriculture, employment programs, case management, and food distribution. Our goal is to help people achieve long-term success through the programs we offer. We grow fresh produce and procure donated food items to feed the hungry, employ disadvantaged people at our farm, and offer long-term solutions to hunger and poverty.

CarePortal provides our church the opportunity to help local families in need in tangible ways that reflect the love and compassion of Jesus.

If you love tackling a variety of service projects then this is the team for you! We come along side single moms, foster care families, the elderly and working poor, as well as a few elementary schools to help them with much needed projects. We are currently working with the CarePortal, Department of Human Services (DHS), Fresh Start Center and the Pioneer Elementary School to identify and help with these community needs.

Sarah’s Home is a faith-based residential home for girls, ages 12 to 18, who have been rescued from sex trafficking. They offer healing, education, restoration and reintegration for survivors of the commercial sex trade. This includes the educational internship at our MSC Aquaponic Greenhouse.

Safe Families for Children responds to the needs of families in crisis by surrounding parents and children with care, community, and support. Join us to learn more about how you can help keep children safe and families together by becoming a Host Family, Family Coach, Family Friend, or Resource Friend. We will discuss the needs in our community, what each role plays, and how you can become involved, as well as answer individual questions.
